New homes built on a former printworks in Reading have been designed with a nod back to the history of the site.
Bellway Homes has released details of the first homes for sale on the site in Cardiff road, where 96 new homes are being built.
The homes are on the site of the former printers Cox & Wyman closed in 2015 and had been operating in Reading since 1777 and was once the top paperback producer in the country.
The developer says some subtle details of this history will be included in the new homes, such as framed books on the shared walls of the shared community areas.
The scheme will eventually have 48 three bedroom homes and 40 apartments, with a range of one, two and three bedrooms.
There are also 121 car parking spaces, with 12 electric car charging points.
