After a very long, cold winter summer is finally here, and we all want to be outside enjoying our outdoor space. Whether you are thinking of selling your home or not, here are some affordable ideas to spruce up your curb appeal.
If your yard lacks a focal point, consider adding a berm. A berm is basically a mound of dirt with sloping sides that can add privacy and help diffuse street noise. You should keep your berm less than two-feet high and eight-feet wide for optimum effect.

Popular planting choices for berms include flowering bushes such as azaleas and rhodendrons, small evergreens, perennials like lavender and periwinkle and ornamental grasses.
