Interior design and style courses through Marea Clark’s veins. The principal of Marea Clark Interiors comes from a family of residential designers and Clark worked for a variety of prestigious firms before launching her own business several years ago.
Her uncle is an architect and a professor at her alma mater, the University of Kentucky, and her aunt is an interior designer as well. Clark did an internship with her aunt in college before graduating and moving out west to work for designers like Madeline Stuart in Los Angeles and Suzanne Tucker in San Francisco.
Her portfolio includes interiors from Palo Alto to Southampton, and she’s a mother to two children. In this interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Clark talks about her background, her design philosophy and what she does to unwind.
